About the Course

This Signature Seminar will equip you with the skills necessary to navigate the complex world of counseling abusive men. More than a theology of abuse, this seminar will provide you with plug-and-play tools to sidestep entrenched defensiveness, build relational trust, and enter into the process of transformation. This course features 1 hour and 45 minutes of video instruction plus a 45 minute role play observation video demonstrating many of the skills discussed in the instructional portion of the seminar.

Meet Your Instructor

Nate Brooks (PhD), specializes in working with abusive men.. Drawing from years of experience, he is dedicated to empowering you to make a profound impact in the lives of those you counsel. Dr. Brooks has authored many works on abuse and trauma, including Help! Our Sex Life is Troubled by Past Abuse, Working Through Sexual Abuse with Christian Patients (in the Routledge International Handbook on Religion and Sex Therapy), and the forthcoming A Book for Relationally Messy Men. Dr. Brooks serves as an Associate Professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and the founder of Courage Christian Counseling, Nate's passion for educating extends globally, ensuring you receive the highest level of expertise and support.
